St. Thomas

Episcopal Church

of Diamondhead

Samaritan Guild

The Guild extends itself to members of St. Thomas who cannot attend church because of hospitalization, illness, incapacity, or other reasons.  It meets weekly to review information about who might need assistance.  Its work includes home and hospital visits, cards, letters, telephone calls, scheduling of the delivery of communion, and other ways of letting people know we care about them.

TLC is a part of the Samaritan Guild that focuses on helping those in the church who are burdened with caring for their own loved ones.  This ministry includes preparing and delivering meals, home visits with the sick person to allow the caregiver to leave the house, and help with errands.  This ministry can help prevent caregivers from becoming patients themselves.

Loaves and Fishes

Loaves and Fishes, another Samaritan Guild ministry, prepares and delivers meals to church members who for reasons of short-term illness, bereavement, or similar circumstances cannot adequately prepare meals for themselves or their families.
